The metal is tamed. A mystery alloy. A secret mix of elements allows it to bond. A merging where there could have been destruction.

This is a melding, a marriage of materials, of things that should not be together. Things that should not touch. A usually forbidden union.

There is another story, a prophetic one; a condensing of the work of nature.

Marble is the work of pressure and time, a reawakening of crystals to become something else.

The solidified sand and white quartz crystals allude to marble’s past as something else, an insight into the making of treasured rock.

It is the way pressure builds that has them transform.

A story that continues in this sculpture, that is told in bold black, through intervention, an acceleration of time, on the other side, through the metal looking glass, the formation of rock, no patience required.

The Tala Noir from North Africa; the harvest of that pressure and time, is expressed in triangle, circle and square.

The square’s border contains order, a rejection of the chaos that abounds. Do you want to live inside or out?

A triangle is what remains when the sobriety of the square is removed; it is created from a strong foundation, a fusion of opposites, forcing a new reality.

The circle is an assembly of equals. It is the halo, the rainbow, the wheel, the pearl, the pupil, the ring, the sun, the moon, and the Earth.

It is everything, the whole, but nothing, the zero. It is beginningless and endless. It is a connection. It is perfection.

Unique Piece [1 out of 1 - each]

The sculpture comes with a pair of embroidered Tarek Elkassouf Art Handling Gloves, that should be worn at all times when handling the work and a certificate of Authenticity signed and numbered by the Artist.
