This drawing began as one idea that multiplied itself by four. I started with a simple vanishing point and as I got closer to the center I shifted vertical lines to horizontal and vice versa. It became like a pyramid turned inside out. Not completely content with that idea, I increased the scale and made four of that first drawing. The result is disorienting to say the least. But ultimately it became an endurance test to see if I could maintain the level of intensity to draw so many lines. Executed in early 2020, this took roughly three weeks to finish or 200 hours. The geometric artifact I was left with is my most experimental in the beginning of this series.
