This painting (you can see above) is from my last cycle called Alphabets / Quotes, which I’m working on since 2018. Its concept is based on transcription of found textual information into visual alphabets of colours and shapes creating coding systems. Usually these ciphers consist of two layers – in the first (background) is to every letter of existing alphabet given a colour. The second layer, I call a shape code, is according to a certain rule created a diagonal system of lines which linked together creates planes. These are afterwards coated in several layers of transparent fluid colour.
Merged together, all these layers create a new paradigm in which the information is hidden (and still can be somehow deciphered), but stands as an autonomous abstract picture, which can attract viewers eyes and lead them in to the depth of its order unveiling some its rules and secrets.
