Part of a diptych painting "Cloud Atlas №1" for me is that EVERYTHING IS INTERCONNECTED. One critic wrote of the film of the same name: “What is time? A river flowing in all directions at once. An element that cannot be curbed or defeated - it rolls in waves, destroying and preserving, destroying and restoring again. There is no past or future, only the infinite "now". The unity of generations is carried out through art, whether it be music, cinema or literature. History is material, it is at arm's length - you can reach it through the symphony of a genius, you can touch it through yellowed paper with blurry lines. Cloud Atlas is a movie about the cycle of life, love, art and freedom. The latter lives in melodies, in looks, in beliefs and decisions. Freedom to resist imposed dogmas. Freedom to create and enjoy. Freedom to be yourself and be free from yourself. In everyone there is both great good and great evil, life is an eternal struggle between hell and heaven. A series of deaths and rebirths, the battle of the dead Order with the Chaos full of life. Cloud Atlas is a movie about choice as the fundamental basis of everything - and the choice is not made once, it has to be made every second, every quantum of time.
