Artist Statement
This Flower Study is from a series I painted when I came home to Mumbai after over 25 years living and working in NYC. The colors, scents, textures of were heightened, almost saturated as if they were merging from memory and the present moment. I wanted to capture this moment in time and this mystical quality of experience on the canvas.
