Artist Statement
My hand painted work Esperanza (Hope) is inspired by the incipient greens and blues of spring and tries to reflect the light and freshness of nature.
This painting is one of a kind and somehow is connected with my wall sculptures -Roble and Carbon Series-. Lines that fall perpendicularly and create a three dimension feeling when work is observed from the side.
My colorful Series is inspired by light and vibrant colors as a way of immersing oneself in joy and hope.
The work is framed with a high quality floating frame and measures in total 87 x 87 x 5 cm.
It is finished with a layer of UV protection museum varnish.
This work will ship flat in a sturdy, well-protected cardboard box.

Artist Profile
Hometown: Buenos Aires
Based in: Switzerland
Virginia Garcia Costa is an Argentinian artist based in Switzerland. Virginia produces wall sculptures inspired by elements of nature. The way Virginia arranges her materials into what looks like a surface of drips or water flow makes her wall sculptures' style truly unique. The different perspectives and the three dimensionality of the bark pieces give a peaceful sense of harmony and modern aesthetics. When viewed slightly askance, the perpendicular lines give the piece a fresh sense of three-dimensionality.
Public and private collectors in Europe, the US, Canada, Asia and Middle East have bought her work.
