About the art
Artist statement
The lotus flower is regarded in many different (buddhist) cultures as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the lotus produces the most beautiful flower. Across Asia, many countries such as Vietnam, India embrace the lotus as the national flower and throughout history, the lotus flower has been a frequent presence in many forms of art such as paintings, architecture, and sculptures.
The lotus flower has been an important part in my photographic artwork.
Printed with a 2 cm white border each side. Comes with signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity, and artist signature at the back of the photo.
