Title : 6 Slabs
A group of six wall sculptures each unique but very much a part of their family.
Two curving lines of wood run through each piece. These 2 lines bring the pieces together visually, when the 'slabs' are displayed in two rows of three. One line is multi-coloured, this line forms a continuum through the slabs running in line from piece to piece.
The other line of one colour moves through the colour spectrum from piece to piece.
The series can be displayed to great effect when lined up in a single row. Another alternative is to display around a room, or several rooms to create an 'art continuity' through out your spaces.
The sculpture is constructed using baltic birch ply of various thickness. The piece is painted with acrylic and has a matte finish.
Each individual slab measures 32 x 18 x 3 cm
This piece measures when set out with three slabs above one another:
Height: 29 inches (74cm)
Width: 27 inches (69cm)
Depth:1 inch (3cm)
Alternatively the piece would measure 57 x 13 inches when set out in a single row,
One recessed keyhole slot is installed on the back of each slab. The keyhole hanging method allows the piece to hang flush and secure to the wall.
I have signed, dated and titled the artwork on the back.
I make custom size wood crates for all my artworks, large or small.

Based in: Bath
Vince is a London born, Bath city based artist who's work offers an alternative to the conventional plane and shape of framed paintings by bringing his sculptural wall art to attention the viewer.
He creates artworks that focus on the interaction of colours, shape and depth. The composition and palette choices are influenced heavily by his teenage years spent as a graffiti artist. The evolution of this, post-graffiti genre, is evident in his work by the way he carefully composes sculptures of spacial balance making use of geometric and abstract forms.
Vince's skillset is based in fine woodworking that has been passed down through generations of Bauhaus orientated artisans in his family. The discovery of artists such as Paul Klee, Joan Miro and Wassily Kandinsky urged him to introduce colour to his sculptures.
His artworks can be found in both private and corporate collections worldwide.
The Bath Times have run features on his work over a number of publications.
His pieces are constructed from premium birch ply. They are brush painted in artists quality acrylic paint.
