Artist Statement
A smile for the expression of Emmanuel Macron in this COVID-saturated period by the abundant information and at the same time there is the wind, the sand, the foam of the beaches sheltered from the world that surrounds me in this authentic Finistère.
I used pages from the newspaper Le Monde to symbolize the media and I insisted on the proliferation side while working the relief.
This painting took me some time, I wanted it clear, but without light origin, because this winter in Brittany (2021) is gray and the general atmosphere of confinement and curfew seems to me rather sluggish.
