deliver in wooden crate at real cost
pleasure to find myself in my workshop all white, simple and bright where silence is beneficial to me
it is a silence that is not empty
I chose to talk about this presence to use very beautiful materials in their unique and simplistic appearance: 2 unique pieces of vegetable fibers worked like tapas, made by a woman in a laotian village, of a solidity to all tests, used in their raw state
I needed a large format to give a real presence to this simplicity
you can feel a sense of appeasement, it’s there, it feels good, it’s quiet
silence when you feel full is beneficial, a gift
depending on who’s looking at this painting, it might look empty or full
