"Thinking back to the red of Japanese temples… travel memories, silk kimonos and Chinese embroideries.
Red is color of life, I have to come back regularly to recharge. It is a color that has a lot of presence, I only support it in limited quantity.
I used the sand to give the relief of worn out embroideries, I like that one can feel the skin of my paintings.
For me this painting expresses joy, attraction, contentment, tone..."
