Artist Statement
Pieces of "flesh" of irregular shapes are manually cut from the "body", with their surface roughly polished, as if for diagnosis and pathological analysis. After the polishing, some solid "calculi" are exposed which have firmly grown into the waxy fat-like substance, as if the "body" fails to digest some of the external information input into the system. These works probably convey a symptomatic interpretation of social reality and its development, which concerns not only the survival experience of individuals but also the anxiety about the restructuring of social structure and rights.
