Artist Statement
This painting was inspired by my life in Singapore. The hot weather and the dazzling sunshine in this tropical country is lovable and hateful at the same time. In this painting I use colors and my brushwork to create a gentle and relaxing atmosphere.

When I first tried out oil paintings few year ago, I was in love with this medium immediately. It complements my style in so many ways. I like to work with slightly dirtorted shapes to help express a mood or atmosphere, and also enjoy painting landscapes or still life in an impressionistic way.
