Artist Statement
I have a big trauma, which is from my mother who has given me pressure and fear since childhood. As I grew up, I always felt fear when I was dealing with people. I wanted to fix that part, but it didn't work out.
Fortunately, I have been painting for a long time and I have been able to cope with the fear.
I have not started to cling to characters, especially distorted faces.
I feel that I am emotionally relieved by expressing distorted faces that I could not shake my fear of someone.
In fact, before I sort out my thoughts about the picture, my body instinctively starts to draw first. But I am always going to sort out the pieces of my thoughts about this act.
My facial work has no titles, only numbers.
I don't need a special title.
I think that the title of each is unnecessary because it mixes the unspecified majority of people who stimulate my feelings from time to time with my uneasy feelings.
