About the art
Artist statement
Depending on the amount of force I apply and the level of wetness of the paper, I am able to express a certain emotional state in my paintings/collages. In this painting, for instance, I applied quite powerful force when taking off the layers - and, I have done so while the surface was still very much wet. Hence, I was able to visually delineate the fast-paced temporal nature of time as indicated in the title, It's All Fleeting, evidenced by the"unedited" residues, fibers, and revealed under layers that remained after being stripped with such speed and force.
