In China, many people think contemporary artworks are abstract, and the others are traditional. In their opinion, if the artwork is hard to understand, then it is modern, otherwise it is ordinary style. I totally do not agree. I try to express contemporary artwork via elements from traditional culture and create the modern from the old.

Artist Yuan Hua Jia is from China. He does oil and acrylic paintings. Because he loves the traditional culture and historical buildings, so most of his artworks focus on the protection of traditional culture and historical relics. With the pace of modernization, many traditional cultures have been forgotten, and many historical buildings have been artificially damaged and disappeared. So he paint these artworks to awaken people's attention to traditional culture and protection of ancient buildings. He is also very concerned about some social issues we face, such as education, environmental protection, etc. You can see this in many of his artworks.
