Artist Statement
"The smell of mint" by Yulia Lenina is an abstract contemporary landscape painting to purchase at the Artling online gallery, with pale orange sky and green-grey color blocks.
This art piece is a part of the series "Imaginary landscape" - a reflection of an imaginary, "inner" landscape.
In this series, my intention was to work with fairly large color blocks, while maintaining the texture due to the multi-layered application of paint. Color blocks are delimited by dark lines that create the structure of the landscape and outline the conditional Heaven and Earth.
Sides are painted black which gives it modern look. No frame needed. It is covered with protective UV varnish.
