My Migration series are undergoing another evolution. Removing unnecessary, the noise, the opulence of the cloud this latest body of work is more concise simplified yet impact focus almost colour blocking borderline geometric. Certainly more straight line elegance with minimalistic understatement in heart.
There is more unsaid than expressed. It's a lot of layers to achieve the right colour depth and so goes about personality.
Saying much while being less wordy in the most artistic way.
I am still romantic. Still like my paper plane subjects to carry sincerity and alignment of the trajectory in partnership.
Id like to think they are a couple. Much alike. Much instinct with one another following and supporting quietly.
These ideal relationship are found on this canvas when a little fragile paper plane advancing towards what may appear as darn uncertainty of the cloud. Without fear. Without doubt. Taking it as it comes. Knowing there is a wingman by his/ her side.

A r t i s t S t a t e m e n t:
To sum up the subjects that follow through Yuliya's varied collections and unite those seemingly different styles at core, she emphasises on deeply personal dilemmas:
-Weight free existence & escapism
-Grace & elegance in a landscape
-Infantilism & ingenuity of human kind
-Loss of identity & change in life pace
-Time borrowing vs quality of time
M e d i a :
Watercolour in particular has been Yuliya's long standing dominant media though she ventures to mix water based materials with oil, graphite, and acrylic on wood, canvas and paper.
She is highly regarded for her recognisable and unique watercolour on canvas style.
Yuliya is a frequent participant of London art fairs, regular works with interior designers on luxury residential, cruise liners and hospitality projects and nurture plans to bring more work to the US in the upcoming years.
