Most of my animal series works are anthropomorphic expressions. I use the shell image of animals to express people with different roles. They are all in a certain identity and environment, showing a side that transcends animality.
"King" is a joking title, and I exaggeratedly increased the Taishi chair, which symbolizes power and status, to heighten the sense of inapproachability. This is a young rhino with a naive body but wants to show seriousness. He is still immature and sits in a position that does not belong to him. This pretentious arrogance makes him appear ungrounded and bluff. The dynamics are also cramped and tense. Being at a high altitude is sometimes a kind of mental pressure caused by artificially pulling the seedlings, and sometimes it is also a kind of fever in an unconscious state. A lot of times we fantasize about what would happen if we were in that remote position, and the real, high-flying person is sometimes bullied like a foolish ignorant.
Everyone is in the chain of contempt caused by the class nature of this kind of relationship between top and bottom. The key is to stay awake at all times, not to be led by rhythm, not to be a member of the rabble. The sense of playfulness and contradiction created by my work "The King" is based on this thinking. Inner pride and surface peace may achieve an indescribable harmony.

“Ode to Gallantry” - Artist Statement
It is the verve and strength of the oriental aesthetic temperament that has influenced and inspired me the most. Today, the classic oriental sculptures handed down from the line to the shape all show a kind of "round" wisdom. I like oriental aesthetics, and I want to reflect oriental aesthetics in my artistic creation.
My family gave me a very relaxing and positive childhood. Outside of my studies, I like to research and make "weapons" and "martial arts cheats". I fantasize that I am a hero who travels the world with a sword. The sword in my hand represents my spiritual will, which can kill evil and promote justice. And to express the free soul of the heart. Maybe this is my very romantic "Martial Arts Dream" at first, a kind of spiritual pursuit that is divorced from reality.
"Youth" are always pinned on the hope of the future. Everyone has had a period of "rebellion" in the sociological sense, why are we defined as "rebellious"? Because we have initially formed our own worldview and tried to “Knowledge and action should go hand in hand”.
What is the chivalrous men? It was originally those who were born under the oppression of the ruling classes in ancient times, those who acting charitably and rightfully for god. They are full of justice and dare to fight against injustice. Later, these good behaviors were gradually integrated into the bones and blood of many Chinese people and became a kind of inheritance, infiltrating into various fields, and batches of people who contributed great energy to history and society appeared. Huo Qubing, Yan Zhenqing, Wen Tianxiang, Yu Qian, Wang Yangming, etc. Some of them are officials in the imperial court, some are not officials. Their deeds all have the characteristics of chivalry, they are great souls who have the
courage to practice their own ideals and pursuits, independent thinking and judgment, and never follow the crowd.
The chivalrous person in my work has a melancholy expression, and his heart is full of deep thoughts.This image is born in the process of explorating of some information about the depth of power, self- exploration, cultivation and output, presenting a stable and implicit temperament and a state of thinking. I hope he would be the first to show concern and the last to enjoy oneself. These chivalrous men born from my hands are another me, but they are more powerful than I. They can do what I can't do, say what I can't say. They think, speak, envision and act with a chivalrous spirit.
The world isn't all good, and the heavy, dark things that aren't in the sun are exactly the crux of many problems. Art is a kind of power. The essence of this power is the real emotional foundation, the good value guidance, and the spiritual cleansing at the aesthetic level. The most beautiful harmony in the world is the interaction of the hearts with each other. The construction of this spiritual world requires constant additions and continuous creation.
Today, whether it is a government worker, a businessman or an ordinary person, everyone can become a chivalrous hero, and each of us can fight for the rights of ourselves and others. If so, “the Peach Garden”ideal will surely become reality!
