Design School

Bandung Design Biennale 2017 also aims to gather support for and encourage budding designers through schools. Academic institutions have undoubtedly played a key role in making Bandung such a successful design city, including Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), the Journal of Visual Art and Design) and the School of Creative Movement International Conference among others. Students are encouraged to collaborate with the local community to design and create pragmatic functional solutions for problems faced in the city. With Bandung Design Biennale 2017, the initiative hopes to mobilise current & future designers to have a more robust and dynamic understanding of design and be able to explore them in a local context.
