The Artling and Straits Clan Launch The Creative Studio
The Artling and Straits Clan are pleased to present the launch of The Creative Studio, a four-month residency program at the member’s club in Bukit Pasoh. The inaugural residency program forms a part of the Straits Clan Arts Programme, which aims to develop the club’s cultural capital and as a venue that enables and encourages lively dialogue between its members and the creative community. The artists in the program are Aeropalmics (a.k.a Dawn Ang), Masuri Mazlan, Tiffany Loy, and André Wee.

Best of The Artling: 2020 Highlights
As we approach the end of 2020, The Artling reflects on the challenging year brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the challenges, we are happy to have been able to provide continual support and services to our clients as well as artists, designers, and galleries around the world. We have also worked to introduce new features and improvements to our online platform to make it easier and faster for our art lovers to buy art online and for artists and designers to sell their art online with us. Our Online Gallery The constraints and challenges have had widespread effects on the art world, but the art community has persevered and continues to grow through these difficult times. The importance of an online presence became even more evident as cities around the world went into lockdown, and we have been fortunate to expand our online gallery with a 60% increase in listings from artists, designers, and galleries. Hundreds of new artworks and design objects are added to the site weekly, and we are thrilled to present their creativity and talent to our followers. Online Artling Exclusive: The Papercut Portfolio by Ai WeiWei
The Artling is pleased to present an online exclusive of Ai WeiWei's limited edition papercut portfolio of eight papercuts, each signed by the artist himself. Papercutting is a traditional Chinese art going back 2,000 years. The colored, intricately cut papers are used as a story-telling medium in festivities, for prayers, and as everyday decoration. In this Collector’s Edition of 250 copies, Ai WeiWei employs the medium to reflect on his life and work in eight papercuts. Meticulously cut in large-format, colored fine-art paper, each papercut is signed by the artist and comes with explanatory notes by Chin-Chin Yap, who has extensively worked with Ai WeiWei, most recently as a writer and co-producer on several films. NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore Launches an Online Benefit Art Auction
The NTU Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) Singapore will be launching Online Benefit Art Auction from 1 to 18 October 2020 to raise funds for two vital projects: NTU CCA Singapore’s Digital Archive, a digitisation project of the Centre’s institutional records, and Climates. Habitats. Environments, a culmination of their research over the past three years that explores the effects of globalisation and the climate crisis. The Online Benefit Art Auction features artworks by Singaporean artists Heman Chong, Fyerool Darma, Ho Tzu Nyen, Alecia Neo, Shubigi Rao, Jason Wee, Robert Zhao Renhui, and more. The auction also includes works from international artists such as Animali Domestici, Jae Rhim Lee, Lucy + Jorge Orta, Entang Wiharso, Haegue Yang, and Trevor Yeung.
