One World Clock With Multiple Timezones

In the age of globalization, our world becomes smaller and more interconnected. As we can move and travel around the world easily, and live in different time zones with our loved ones, the clock that we are so used to no longer satisfies our need to stay connected with them.

The World Clock, designed by Masafumi Ishikawa, allows you to find out the time in 12 different time zones with a simple gesture. Simply rotate the clock to one of the 12 major cities, and the hour hand will automatically set to the correct position for that city's time zone. The clock was awarded the 2013 Lexus Design Award for its creative interpretation of time and motion, combined with its simple and sleek analogue design. Even though we have websites and other digital devices that can tell time with just a few clicks of buttons, the World Clock has a subtle touch of analogue technology, offering a physical dimension to our experience of time.

The World Clock is available in two colors—black and white—both finished with minimalistic facades. 12 city names are written on the side of the clock, from New York to Moscow to Cape Town and to Shanghai, spanning 12 different time zones:
UTC+0, London
UTC+1, Paris
UTC+2, Cape Town
UTC+3, Moscow
UTC-8, Los Angeles
UTC+5, Karachi
UTC-6, Mexico City
UTC-5, New York
UTC+8, Shanghai
UTC+9, Tokyo
UTC+10, Sydney
UTC+11, New Caledonia

When setting the initial time, remove the sleeve around the clock, align your city name with the number 12. Then attach the sleeve and rotate the dial at the back of the clock to adjust the time.
