This is the sixth edition of PHOTOFAIRS | Shanghai, returning from September 20 to September 22, 2019, with the Collectors’ Preview on September 19, 2019. The fair, happening at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, is Asia Pacific's leading platform for collectable fine art photography and moving image. Yearly, they receive an audience of influential collectors, curators and visitors from around the world.

The sixth edition will open with an inspiring Public Program combining new approaches to photography and modern masterpieces with exhibitions, commissions and a new award celebrating emerging photographic talent.

In March 2019, PHOTOFAIRS launched the inaugural Exposure Award to any gallery with a solo presentation of experimental work who had not previously shown at the fair. They recevied worldwide submissions, and judges selected works from Galerie Les Filles du Calvaire (Paris), by visual artist Noémie Goudal. Chosen for its bold concept and visual elegance, the planned installation will bring together works from three of Goudal’s recent series.

The judging panel also commended three standout submissions by Galerie 127 (Morocco) with artist Carolle Benitah, One Way Art (Beijing) with artist Ding Shiwei and MARYMARY projects (New York) with artist Patricia Voulgaris.
