Over the past three years, our web stack has greatly evolved. We are still using Python and Django on the backend, but instead of classic REST APIs we are now using GraphQL. Likewise, on the frontend, instead of using jQuery and Twitter Bootstrap, we are now using ReactJS and React-Apollo as much as we can.
As an eCommerce site and a marketplace we also have a constant need to visualize metrics and data and have an urgent need to make our own internal tools more beautiful and more intuitive to use.

This is the kind of position where you bombard us with questions until you have a full understanding of our product, our target audience and the market and then come up with crazy ideas on how to drive growth.
You need to work in a highly structured way, form a thesis, document it, implement it (need good communication skills with the rest of the team), monitor it (important!), and then tweak it (or dismiss it) based on actual data.

As The Artling grows as an online art gallery, we also hope to become one of the primary resources for content on contemporary art in Asia. We are seeking part-time staff writers to write articles for our Artzine, relating to Asian art events and exhibitions happening regionally and internationally.
We are looking for a motivated, independent individual who will be able to deliver thoroughly-researched and interesting articles. The writer would be expected to pitch 3-4 article ideas per month to our team, and proceed with writing and researching whichever articles are selected. The role would also involve uploading the article to our website. Articles should be between 500-1500 words in length, and be accompanied by copyright-free/approved images.
The ideal candidate must speak and write in English fluently, and be able to deliver according to strict deadlines. A background in Art History or knowledge of the Art & Design fields is preferable. As this is a part-time position, writers can work remotely, although if they are based in Singapore, they also have the option of working from our office in central Singapore.
