Artist Statement

Originally, a Buddha casting factory, then to luxury brass sculptures for garden and interior decorations, 3 years ago we started branching out to luxury, modern furniture. With the use of sculpting, casting and combining different pieces of brass into one and together with the craftsmanship of our artist, we are able to produce modern furniture that is intricately made each piece, by hand.

The inspiration behind this side table is the ever so classic silhouette of an hourglass. The simplified, loose curve and concave lines add a hint of sexiness and elegance to the design.

The main inspiration behind this piece is an hourglass. An hourglass is a figure that has been desirable to women for many years, but it is mainly seen to be compared with the human figure. But for me, it seems like it the hourglass can be adapted to many different things in life including the objects we use day to day. I dissected the structure of the hourglass, leaving just the curves which are the foundation of the entire piece. We left out the précised feel of an hourglass but added loose curvy lines. Each of the unique legs of the side table comes together in a loose knot and with the combination of wood or marble top, each element works to make this a unique piece.
