Artist Statement

Naked Raku ceramic vase by Italian product designer Denis Di Luca. Each vessel is individually fired and hand-finished using Naked Raku technique. Please note the product images are only for general reference, as each glaze will be different every time due to the unique nature of Raku. Bespoke designs are available on request.

Denis Di Luca was born in Urbino, Italy and began his interest in ceramics at University in Italy when he studied Industrial Design. He began to discover the possibilities of combining clay with other materials and using specialist firing techniques (especially Raku) to produce contemporary ceramic art pieces. He is continuously refining and developing his skills in Raku, Naked Raku, Raku Dolce, Saggar, Obvara and Horse Hair ceramics. Each piece he creates is unique.

The fusion of Italian design influences and traditional ceramic techniques adapted for contemporary tastes, resulting in highly individual items for your visual enjoyment.
