For me the beauty of ceramics is hidden in its roughness. The structure of my sculptures is earthy and delicate and respect the rules of the clay. In my work, I draw from the subconscious sense perceptions created by the ceramic surface. This makes my work a trialogue between the creator, the material and the viewer. I find my work most fruitful when I does not force the clay into any particular form or outcome. There, I think, is a true beauty of ceramics.
