Artist Statement
Hand built sculptural lamp from white stoneware, inside and outside with a raw and stony texture without glaze. My pieces are fired over 1200 degrees.

I am Monika an ceramic artist based in Essen, Germany. The founder of the ceramic studio Pyllo Cermics. I have been working with clay since the end of the nineties. After studying sculpture for four years, I focused on ceramics because clay is my favorite material.
I am an intuitive hand builder who explores the limits of material. I create unique pieces to make the spaces more beautiful in which we live and spend time every day.
My ceramics are both functional and sculptural. I designs and makes ceramic vases, design objects and also tableware with passion.
