Artist Statement
New NOOM furniture collection is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus School in Germany. Ideas of functionalism and conciseness, the combination of craft and art, buildings and objects formed by a composition of simple geometric shapes, are still relevant. NOOM furniture is a tribute to the great thinkers who formed the modernist principles and brought them to life.
The designer has “gathered” the shape of this chair from balls and cylinders. A round pillow and an ottoman appeal to interact: to pump, to play, to bubble.
All products in the collection are called by names of famous modernist artists and architects.

Company was founded in 2017 by industrial designer Kateryna Sokolova and designer, entrepreneur Arkady Vartanov who has 10 years’ experience of manufacturing and his own workshop Postformula Craft. Kateryna Sokolova is an internationally established designer who collaborates with world-famous brands like Ligne Roset, Forestier, Jarre Technologies, Bolia, etc.
Most of our products are made from metal. We produce them by combining both traditional and modern manufacturing technologies. Every single piece involves careful manual work of our craftsmen. All products are made in our own workshop in Ukraine. This enables us to oversee the entire production process and pay attention to every single detail.
