When Suave started designing the Cup Bowls, they began with the smallest of the three, making a transition between a cup and a bowl, with a base detail inspired by the delicate curves of porcelain teacups. The bowls work well as a serving set or a sculptural nesting composition. Each hand-turned Cup Bowl is never exactly like another.
Family of three, with a cup bowl, medium sized bowl and large bowl.
Designed by Suave, handcrafted by Carlos Barbosa.
Suave was founded in 2015 by Paulo Rodrigo and Raquel Silva Sá, connecting a team with different skills in the fields of architecture, interiors, design, photography and film.
Having a background of architecture and engineer studies, we’ve started by defining a particular approach to buildings, specially on renovation, very important in our home city, Porto.
In it’s core essence, Suave, values the real patrimony and identity of what people have. Respecting the integrity of spaces and objects, particularly of those who live in them and their memories. Putting people first, defines who we are.
Carlos Barbosa and his two sons run a wood working factory in Paços de Ferreira. They produce high quality objects and furniture for both local architects and international clients. The unique thing about them is they stock a very large variety of Portuguese and imported hardwoods, and combine the best of hand and machine processes to make high quality products, in small to medium sized production runs.
Do not use for food/liquids above 50º.
Not dishwasher proof.
