"Round Big Pendant Lighting" inspired by the pagoda architecture of Thailand, which has several tiers and circulate from the bottom to the top. We are buddhists and be familiar to the Thai temple since we were child. We came up with this inspiration when we started to design our new product. The bamboo coiling techniques match up with the feature of the pagoda in the temple. And the form of the pagoda attracted our heart.
“Round” is series of home decorations, composed of container, vase, mirror and pendant lighting. The designers were inspired by Thai architectural prang. The design presents new perspective of woven techniques, which is a combination of nature and metal. The collection is composed of contrast materials namely bamboo, brass, and copper, which are interesting combination. The collection presents elegant approach to fusion materials, fine texture and charming forms. The production makes by hand with the aid of tools. Every piece is unique and high quality.

Lives and Works: Thailand
It all started with Mr.Varongkorn Tienaprmpool and Ms. Supattra Kreaksakul who have a passion for art & weaving, which is originally a Thai local handicraft. They introduced the idea of mixing the unique weaving to create contemporary products that are unique and outstanding. Moreover, they would like to bring nature closer to the lifestyle of people in the modern world. The definition of PATAPiAN came from the symbol that represents the childhood memory of the creators. The people in the same generation are familiar with PATAPiAN and know it as Thai local weaving. Some might say that PATAPiAN is a Thai product that has been crafted since ancient times. The creators saw the importance of this weaving and would like to keep this precious tradition in an even more contemporary format. Therefore, the creators founded PATAPiAN in 2014 to remember an identity of the group, to represent all types of weaving and to give more freedom to the materials that are chosen to create a perfect weaving.
