Hear how the wind is blowing across the field, how the meadow is spiring, feel the power of our earth, and honor its fertility.
Inspired by the wealth of our land, we have created a new interior object - the cabinet Solomia. It’s born from the love for the motherland. Seemingly trapped between past and future, he became an example of a timeless object. It combines the stylization of vintage art deco and the philosophy of contemporary Ukrainian design. The cabinet was designed by studio founder and designer Alexandra Rudenko. It is made of the oak and inlaid with ornaments from the Ukrainian straw in the marquetry technique. The origin of the cabinet begins in Western Ukraine, where 80-year-old grandfather Orestes collects straw for our products. He carefully sorts the straws by length and diameter. During this time, the basis of the cabinet is made - the oak frame. The countertop passes the stitching stage, where the texture of the wood appears. In our workshop, the straw goes through a staining stage, after which it is inlaid with the cabinet itself. The tabletop is made of colored glass.

Design brand RUDA Studio was founded in 2017 by Alexandra Rudenko and Yuriy Vovnyanko. The main focus
of the studio — space design and the creation of unique household items. In the space, the studio seeks to make each project individual and special, focusing on feelings, custom items, and the combination of the historical and the modern.
The created objects are inspired by natural materials and antique artisan techniques. Each product has its function, but more resembles an object of art that touches the soul and pushes for reflection and rethinking of our cultural heritage. In their works, the designers of the studio restore the knowledge of Ukrainian folklore and actualize socially-important environmental topics, conservation of natural resources of the Earth, and human interaction with nature.
In the studio, objects are created from local materials - brass, copper, clay, straw, algae, trees, and stone.
