The Jupiter chair combines a perfectly rounded back and seat. The big back gently wraps your body.
Furniture crafted by Shimoichi Mokkosha Ichi are handmade with a kanna (Japanese plane), and produced with Yoshino Cedar and Zelkova wood. The unique wood grains, patterns and tones differ with each piece.

I aim to share the beauty and warmth of Yoshino Cedar. Unattainable with sandpaper, forming and finishing Yoshino cedar with a kanna (Japanese plane) allows the beauty of the material–the beautiful natural grain and abundant aroma–to shine through. This is ichi furniture. Beautifully crafted for ease of use, ichi furniture brings delight into a full and rich life with Yoshino wood. Our purpose is also to revitalize the town of Shimoichi with our work.
