Artist Statement

PK15 sofa is part of the Gusset Collection, inspired by wooden trusses used in the construction of roofs.
The sofa sockets refer to the “Gusset Plate” normally applied to reinforce the knots of wooden trusses.
Handmade carbon steel structure receives white glossy polyurethane painting.
Solid turned wood legs are made of Jequitibá, a native tree of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest. The legs are finished in matte polyurethane varnish.
Natural wood has a unique pattern and tone that varies according to each piece.
This makes each object unique. Each piece will have its own shade and veins pattern.
The seat is made of foam and plywood only. There is no elastic webbing. Therefore it is a firm seated sofa.

Seat fabrics: 60% linen and 40% cotton. Available in black, blue, green, grey, orange and tomato.
Backrest cushion fabrics: 80% linen and 20% cotton. Available in blue, pink, grey and natural linen.
