Artist Statement
The Winter Blues Collection is comprised of four hand woven decretive storage baskets. Over the course of 16 days, each vessel is constructed primarily out of locally harvested hierochloe odorata and salvage plastic. After the 5-14 day process of weaving and coiling each unit into shape, our artisans begin to adorn the objects with organic leather (tanned and treated with natural sediments by an all-female team of leather artisans).
The full collection features embellishments of ivory white woven detail on top of a treasured Lapis lazuli base. Each of the four items featured in this collection are garnished with a supple leather that has been naturally cultivated over 11 days.
elevate your space with texture and indigenous pattern play. These structural treasures can furnish modern and organic style settings while also providing decorative thrill in bold and maximized living arrangements. Create cohesive living concepts and room settings with a one of a kind natural storage solution.
