Artist Statement
This tea-bowl belongs to my FroZen collection that is inspired by Armenian winter landscape and Japanese approach to aesthetics. The pieces' texture and lines reference the surface of winter trees covered with snow.
The work is wheel-thrown. Electric-fired earthenware, white glaze.

Yaro Zabavskiy attended United World College in Wales, UK and went on to study Studio Arts at Earlham College, IN, USA, where he has discovered a passion for ceramics and analogue photography.
