Emeline Ong (b.1998) is a Designer based in Singapore.
Emeline’s design philosophy embraces a dreamlike vision where she views the world through a whimsical and playful lens. Inspired by her fondness for sugary delights, her works create a universe filled with wonder and excitement. They serve as a celebration of the joy of creating, fueled by a deep curiosity for the world, all while embracing a joyful spirit.
Her work has been showcased at international design events such as SaloneSatellite during Milan Design Week, and featured in design publications including IFDM and Effect Magazine. Her debut project, The Pastille Collection, secured a spot on the longlist for the 2024 Dezeen Awards.
Emeline holds a B.A in Industrial Design from the National University of Singapore, where she graduated with honours (highest distinction). With an Industrial Design approach, she explores the fields of Furniture and Object design to shape her imagination.
What inspires you?
Daily observations and seeing everyday things through a joyful lens.
Describe your creative process.
Once I have an idea, I consider how it could be built to scale and realized in its actual material. I then assess the tools available to me and begin experimenting!

A curious mind!
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
Fear can keep you stuck, but the way forward is to take action and create without overthinking. With each thing you make, clarity follows.
