Julie Cocatrix

As an artist/designer, it’s through the fusion between the broad freedom of art and the requirement of design that I look for an harmony in order to create unexpected and rigorous objects. My work universe combines imagination and paradox, thus freeing the object and its use from their factual dimension. While leading my mind into a field of expression which rejects its concrete destiny, my creations can be detected and interpreted in different ways by the watcher. Between a functional object and an artwork, the interpretation of forms triggers the blossoming of intuitions and becomes the result of an instinctive and unique thought specific to each one.
