EVG.WORKS

EVG.WORKS

Born: 1987

Hometown: Novosibirsk, Russia

Based in: Seattle, United States

Evgeniya Plotnikova [evg.works] is an emerging ceramic artist by night and a practicing architect by day. She has Siberian roots, but has lived in Chicago, New York and currently resides in Seattle. Her journey in ceramics started in a Brooklyn clay studio with the interest of releasing a creative energy and exploring her fascination with the material. The interest grew into passion that led to setting up a home studio to play and clay. Evgeniya develops her designs by experimenting with hand building techniques. Her inspiration comes from contemporary fashion and post-modern radical designs. Balancing within both realms of art and of function, Evgeniya designs and makes one of a kind playful art objects.
