Juliana Lima Vasconcellos

Juliana Lima Vasconcellos

Born: 1980

Hometown: Belo Horizonte

Based in: Belo Horizonte

Emerging from the architecture and interior design universe, Juliana Lima Vasconcellos found a passion for product design through drawing commissioned pieces for her clients. The strong and timeless design is a mixture of simplicity and elegance. The choice of authentic materials plays an important part in the uniqueness of each piece. Natural wood, stones and metal, sometimes combined with unusual materials, are incorporated in the design through special techniques. The artisan work, the harmonious volumes and well thought details, give
a particular emotional value to each project designed by her. Her portfolio includes furniture exhibition in Milan design week , The Salon Art + Design in NY, SP Arte, IDA/ ARTRIO and MADE and she is represented by galleries in Europe and Brazil.
Juliana Vasconcellos was born in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil and graduated in Architecture at UFMG, with a specialization in architecture and construction management by IEC PUC. She runs her own architecture office since 2005. She has lived in New York, London and Barcelona and now she is based in Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte.
Some of the pieces showed was developed in partnership with Matheus Barreto, who was born in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil. He graduated in Architecture at UFMG, and part of his studies was done at achhochschule Lippe und Höxter, Germain.
