Based in: Centennial
I live and work in Centennial, Colorado. My undergraduate degrees are in English and Fine Arts with masters degree in Arts Administration from Bank Street College of Education and Parsons School of Design in New York City.
I work primarily with shapes and surfaces found in nature. The pieces focus on pairing a texture with a sense of movement...a gentle flutter, effervescent bubbles spiraling upward, the emerging sprouts of spring, growth pushing up and out. Pushing the thinness of porcelain I aim to showcase its translucence and delicacy.
My My pieces are constructed using the hand building technique of coiling. They are fired to cone 9 in an electric kiln.
