Tiffanie Baso is a French craftsman and designer based in France. She created her manufacture "Magdeleine" where she realize wood contempory furniture.
To inspire by the shapes, movements and contrast of shadow and light. Tiffanie get frsh inspiration in the nature. For her, the nature is looks like us, it prompts us to take time and allows us to feel safe and free. The forest possess an incredible strength and wisdom.
Her creations are of unique handmade pieces creating contemporary design. What she like while designing is the diversity of possibilities. This allows to constantly reinvent oneself.
She use the ancient know-how, the bended wood. She have a sensation of reviving the material in working with curvy. The idea is to combine the aesthetic and the well-being in sublimate the object by craftsman.
With such objects Magdeleine committed to provide a unique experience. The wood is worked naturally for keeping their unique smell and touch. She work essentially with the oak and ash. The natural touch is important for to be more proximately of the material. Every detail transforms the relationship between oneself and the object.

What inspires you?
I inspire me of the nature in micro or macro, and the human body. More precisely about the movement, the shape and the contrast of shaow and light.
Describe your creative process.
I combine the design and craftsman. In the first time, I research an elegant aesthetic and that exprime well-being. After, I work like a Pollock, that is to say I draw on the ground for to made a plans. My second step is my craft process that I creat a moddle, a prototype, and my product final.

I need only my pen, my tape measure and my clamps
