After graduating from Bilkent University with an Interior Architecture and Environmental Design major in 2009, I moved to Istanbul to begin my career. Throughout the last 11 years, I have worked in Turkey’s leading architectural firms as interior designer and project director, and thus had the opportunity to experience every aspect of interior architecture and design. I have also been working on artisan furniture design for a long while.
The idea of the artisan furniture collection surfaced in a period of my life in which I found the strong desire to reflect what feels good to me. Many project design processes normally move through phases of responding to the user needs and providing solutions to problems arising out of many external factors. I imagined, in order to reflect my own sense of design, producing with a free and authentic design perception bearing only esthetic concerns, independent from the external factors and the search for solutions. My priority in this journey, was also to stay linked to interior architecture and to utilize the professional experience I have gained throughout years. Consequently, I am now engaged in furniture design, which was already a part of my life by way of my profession, this time through an artistic perspective, through my own perspective.
