Khairranis Abdul Ghani (b.1997) is a Singapore based multidisciplinary artist who strives to maximise her potential in art. Her inquisitiveness of contemporary issues surrounding art-making prompt her to explore in a combination media that demonstrates her artistic repertoire.
She was selected for NAFA's 2017 Entrepreneurship Bootcamp and her team (Insane Artists) did not only won the outstanding team performance but was also the inaugural Grand Winner. Insane Artists are currently working on their brand as a group of creatives bringing forth the idea of reshaping mindsets, to use paint as a mode to unwind and have fun.
Khairranis has some notable achievements that involve her artistry and interests. In a collaboration Painting Smiles project with Nafa and CDC, Khairranis and her team did a mural painting at Bras Basah Complex, Singapore in 2017. That year, she also partook in an interdisciplinary expedition project to Angkor Wat, Cambodia and exhibited at The Flagship Genius Exhibition 2018 featuring Angkor Wat in NgeeAnn Kongsi Gallery. Her educational visit to the Shanghai Biennale in 2016 prompted her to exhibit pictorial landscapes based on C.S.I, Colors, Shapes, Images at the Shanghai Art Immersion Programme Exhibition Gallery at NAFA.
Her artwork was selected to be exhibited for the 2011 Intra-School Dreams & Reality Masterpieces of Painting, Drawing & Photography from the Musee d’Orsay, Paris event. In conjunction with the ELDDS (English Language Drama Debate Society) and the Singapore Youth Festival Arts 2011, Khairranis performed in a drama, script, writing and performance of Macbeth by Shakespeare. Recently, she was offered to participate in an Overdrawn exhibition 2018, an inter-institutional exchange between Victorian College of the Arts, Australia and NAFA.
