Mahalakshmi Kannappan


About

Mahalakshmi is an Indian artist based in Singapore. She started her career as a Graphic Designer and is currently pursuing her Diploma in Fine Art at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Her works were exhibited at the “Café Gallery” (2017), an exhibition held at The Coffee Connection and were featured in IMPART AWARDS 2017 souvenir. Another work exhibited at “ The spider with seven Tau-Geh legs” (2016), an exhibition held at the Little Skool House. Her work entitled “East meets West” was also exhibited at On-Air gallery at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. She has worked on creating wall murals at a Kids Play Area in Grange Road, Singapore, entitled ‘Enchanted Garden’ 2018. She has also finished a few mural projects at Ling Kwang Home and Bras Basah complex as part of the painting smiles project in collaboration with Community Development Council. Along with wall murals, Mahalakshmi is also working on an illustration project for children’s books in Tamil entitled “Solvandi” (Word Wagon).
