Giant Mango promotes art through exhibitions, consulting for art collectors and corporations, participating in art fairs, organizing art contests, teaching art classes, and technology.
Giant Mango was founded by art director Jun Kurazume and focuses in contemporary art. The purpose of Giant Mango comes from Jun's desire to convey, through art, the significance of the cross-cultural experience and how it brings potential of new creative movements.
Over the last five years, Giant Mango has hosted over 50 art exhibits that have drawn in thousands of visitors. Artwork submitted to Giant Mango has also been displayed at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum, Karuizawa New Art Museum, Oakwood Premier Midtown, Daikanyama Hillside Terrace, Sankei Building, Shinjuku Isetan, Shibuya Hikarie, Ecute Shinagawa, and Tokyu Bunkamura in Tokyo.
Giant Mango also takes unique approaches to helping emerging artists exhibit their work beyond the standard galleries and museums, and make art more fun and accessible. Some of these approaches include displaying work at commercial buildings, marketing at department stores, art and design shops, charity events, and on-line contests.
