Q Art Conservation Pte Ltd was incorporated ion October 2013 and is a subsidiary company of Q Framing Group. Together with Q Framing Pte Ltd, we offer a seamless way for Collectors to frame and care for their collection.
We currently have in house experts in offering Painting Conservation and Western Papers and Books Conservation services. We also work very closely with a professional Chinese Scroll Mounter to offer services to Chinese Ink Paintings as well.
Our Painting department is helmed by Ms. Rachel Kathryn Witt. Rachel graduated with a MA (Distinction) in Conservation of Easel Paintings from University of Northumbria in 2001. Since then, Rachel has have experiences working on European Paintings as well as South East Asian paintings. Rachel was the Senior Painting Conservator with our Heritage Conservation Center before she joined Q Art Conservation Pte Ltd in November 2013.
Mariko Watanabe takes care of the Western Papers and Books Department. Mariko graduated from West Deans College in the UK with a MA in Conservation Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Conservation of Books and Library Materials in 2013.
In the short time since we set up Q Art Conservation, we have already worked on numerous pieces of artefacts by some of Singapore’s pioneer generation of artists like Cheong Soo Pieng, Liu Kang, Tan Joo Jong, Chen Cheng Mei, Thomas Yeo, etc.
All works are undertaken with strict consideration to proper guidelines for Fine Art Conservation and Restoration of artefacts. We use only approved materials and techniques in our practice.
