Lives and Works: Jakarta
Personally, I love flora , fauna and Animals. It’s a big part of my style in art. As for the media itself, since 2012, I’ve started experimenting with things other than the classic canvas and paint.
My first experience was working for NYLON magazine in Indonesia, as a contributor in some editions on counter culture beginning in 2012. I became a contributor on Actually Magazine in Singapore. I then collaborated with some local magazines, collaborating with photographers, fashion bloggers, clothing lines and Indonesian artists in an exhibition, in a variety of other media, including murals. I had a mural work at the bazaar event in Jakarta.
I won the Wakai Illustration competition, in 2013 and conducted live painting on the day, the Artwork for Wakai Limited edition.
This time I wanted to give my work more depth and therefore, I created this pop-up effect on my paper cut-out or papertole artwork. In addition, I used vibrant colours. The illustrations were made digitally, then printed on cardstock and cut out into this shape.
