Artist Statement
‘Lucky’ is the latest exhibition from Australian Artist and Textile Designer Chris Chun, which features the 12 animals of the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Each animal combines traditional Asian symbolism with contemporary Western sensibilities to bring good fortune, health and happiness to their owner.
Also known as the Ram or Goat. People born in the year of the Sheep are polite, mild mannered, shy, imaginative and determined with very good taste. Occupying the 8th position in the Chinese Zodiac, they have special sensitivity to art and beauty and a special fondness for quiet living.
