Taken in the depths of Cape Verde's salt mines at night, this photograph emcompases the relationship between nature and space, both coexhisting together. The red pattern in the foreground is caused by Halobacteria breeding on the rich salt land, creating this vibrant red colour.

Artist Profile
Hometown: Walsall
Based in: Falmouth
I am primarily a landscape photographer, specialising in aerial and astrophotography. I am currently studying Marine and Natural History photography at Falmouth University, and have been studying photography for the past 5 years. I took up photography after taking out my mom's camera to my local park and attempting to do long exposures of the water, after that I fell in love with the art and I have been doing it ever since.
